Pump recommendation for spa jets

Hi All -

need to replace my spa jet pump. it is a Jandy MHP2.0. I think an Uprated 2HP. My spa is about 30ft away from my plumbing. 6 jets - don't know the size. they look the same as the pool returns. 2" pipe.

what would you recommend? we don't use the spa that often so don't want to sink a ton of money into it if i can get away with it. Can I use a spa pump for this?

First, why do you need to replace the pump? If just the motor has failed, it is pretty easy to just replace the motor and the least expensive option.

But if that is not possible and you want the same jet performance, get a pump with a similar head curve as the Jandy and no a spa pump would not be a good idea because it does not have a filter basket and they are usually not self priming. Also, the MHP is full rated, the MHPU is up rated.
