I am thinking of converting over one of my clients to salt(at least Proposing it)
It is a 55,000 gallon private community pool. I am thinking to suggest 2 - IC40s.
I just wanted to double check ya'lls thoughts on that vs 1 - IC60.
I am thinking in the long run, 2 IC40s will cost less running them on lower outputs
than 1- IC60 running on a higher output and replacing more often.

Thoughts?

TIA

How long do they run the pump? One ic60 does not seen large enough to me. I might suggest two of them if the pump is not run a lot. If they run the pump all the time, then the 2 ic40 might be enough.

Are they required to run 24/7? If so, the 2 ic40 should be fine. If they want to save money on power by running the pump much less, then get 2 ic60.

Or look at other brands that make larger units.
