Above ground skimmer help please!!!

I put in a 16 yr old pool last summer. I bought a new skimmer set and found upon installing it that it was almost totally under the top rail and I couldn't get the basket in or out so I had to put on the original one that has an extension collar on it. It has leaked since then and I can't find a new one. It is a standard (square) 16 screw style. Does anyone know where I can find the proper extension collar for it? Or can I have one made? Not even sure of the make of this new skimmer

Can you post a pic of the new one and old one ? Not sure what you mean by extension collar.
How wide is the top rail ?
They will leak sometimes till the new gaskets swell up and seal. I know mine leaked for a bit when it was first installed then it stopped. ?
