My Pilot wasn't staying on so I went ahead and ordered a new one. I have a Hayward H400 ED1 millivolt, so I ordered part HAXPLT1931. I connected it to the heater but before I put it in its place, I decided to test it. It works but I don't get a pilot light, I get a flame like 5 inches tall and 3 inches wide.....did I order the wrong part?

so it turns out that I lost the pilot orifice. it seems that when I unscrewed the coupler to fit in th gas pipe, the orifice fell out.
Any ides on how I can get just the orifice without buying a whole new pilot?

i took a telescoping magnet dragged it around the heater and I found it! It was underneath the heater! I checked and no gas leaks!
