Calling for any pool experts. I continue to get sand in my pool, I had this issue last year so I started fresh before this summer. Emptied and cleaned out the Sand Filter, washed and cleaned all the pipes and laterals, all were intact. When I run the filter sand on a daily basis I get sand and prove it as I use a stocking around the water input into the pool and there is sand in it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, welcome to TFP! Have you examined the multi-port valve spider gasket? It should not have any signs of excess wear such as loose spots, cracking, splits or tears. If it is in good shape lube the spider gasket and o-rings with silicone pool lube and re-install.
Thank you, I have not yet checked that, so basically unscrew the top part and look I am guessing? I can leave the rest of the top connected ?
What kind of sand filter do you have? Can you put all of your pool/equipment specs in your signature? Also, please put your city and state in your profile.
The spoke under your thumb in the first picture looks a little chewed up. I am surprised you were able to remove it intact. They are usually glued into place.
