Salt testing question

Hi. I just had my Hayward Aqua Rite SWG installed and all has gone well. Following directions and so far so good. My question is : the system shows an average salt reading and also you can get an instant reading so do I still need the Taylor k1776 salt test kit or rely on the systems readout ?

The SWG is what matters, but independent results are good to make note of trends.

My two cents, I personally love having the Taylor K-1766 kit on hand. I do find from time to time to be a small difference from my AutoPilot SWG and the actual Taylor readings. If you are a purist, like many of us are here, I would get the kit. Comes in especially handy when opening the pool and trying to figure out how much start up salt you need. Especially when you are having large temperature swings like we do in the Northeast during spring.
