Hayward c90 filter cartridge keeps splitting

I keep having to replace the cartridge in my c90 because it is splitting on the bottom. I have checked everything and can't figure it out. I use oem Hayward filters and have replaced 2 in the last 4 weeks. Once the filter cracks it is ineffective at filtering the water. Ordered the 3rd filter tonight. :-(
