I have a 30K gallon pool and am thinking of using household bleach and need to know about how much will I need to start bringing my chlorine levels up?

Welcome to TFP! Sounds like your on the right track switching to straight chlorine instead being pool stored. First you should get a reliable test kit.

For 30,000 gallons to get from 0 to 6ppm you will need 271 ounces of 8.25% bleach or 373 oz of 6% bleach and you'll have to add more every day.
Of course, we would need more details to help you any more than that. Without an accurate water test for all the chemical levels, there's not much advice we can give. Get some good test results and post them!
