Is 60 for Calcium Hardness OK for vinyl pool?

Hello:
I thought I read here that calcium hardness is not that important
for vinyl pools. I would just like to confirm that 60ppm is fine for
an inground vinyl pool. Thanks

It's not realy a problem at that level but if your Ph starts to drift you could end up with some foaming issiues. You would be better around 150.

pH really has no impact on foaming, only the hardness. 60 ppm is fairly soft water and it will have a higher tendency to foam than harder water (with higher CH). IF the foaming is not a problem you are fine but if you see any foaming then increasing the hardness to a minimum of around 150 ppm can help.
