Starting 11th season Old Plumbing, motor

The base to the pump and sand filter is no longer level and I feel that some of the old pvc is strained. I am also losing prime at the lower speed on occasion. I did replace the o ring on the strainer and lubed it up. Should I plan to replace all the piping and fittings after I re level the base? My pump motor is also very loud so I am praying for another season before replacing. Thanks all! Chuck

Welcome to TFP!

If you are going to level your pad, it would be a good idea to go to the time and expense of replumbing your pad. While you do this, you can make it easier for yourself when it comes to maintenance of your equipment.

How are you at DIY? You should be able to find new bearings for your pump, and at the same time put a new seal kit in.

Question for you: Do you have one of the recommended test kits?

It would help us to help you, if you read this, and add your information.
