White-ish stains on pool walls, possible remedies and chemical interaction

I began getting white-ish stains or scaling on the walls of my pool some weeks ago. I called the pool manufacturer who sent their fiberglass specialist  out to assess the situation. He recommended using an anti-scaling product to help mitigate the condition along with a product called "Cell Protect".

Can anyone tell me how my "routine" chemical levels will be affected by the use of these other chemicals? I just don't know what to expect.

Thanks much.

You should post a complete set of water test results.

I strongly suspect you have calcium scaling. We recommend not using those additional chemicals, except in extreme situations. Normally scaling can be prevented by adjusting your levels appropriately. How you do that depends on what your levels are now.
