We put up our intex 32 x 16 x 52 pool a month ago....everything is good thanks to our test kit and this board :-D . Our sand filter is a 100 lb unit...the guy at the pool store (wish i had a nickel for every thime i read that phrase on here) told us to just use 50 lbs of Zeolite(Leslies) instead of 100 lbs of sand. I have no complaints about the media but i'm wondering if I shoud add another 25lb bag of Zeolite to the unit for 75lbs total of filter media. It seems like alot of space not being used right now. Anyone have any input. Thanks

Sand has always worked well and is consistent.

Zeo is too inconsistent depending on what brand you buy (and we don't know which is the good and which is the bad).

Giant aquarium filters use sand and have for decades....it's boring but it's good stuff with no surprises.
