How often do they need replaced? It seems the high pressure hose, and how the one running to the pump have sprung leaks. BTW, duct tape is NOT a good temporary fix.......

I'd say every 2 to 4 years if they're out in the sun. They may last longer if they are protected.
Ok. The hoses are disassembled and put away each season. 2008 they were new, and we reused them from the old pool that was destroyed by a storm. So I suppose it isn't that unusual to have to replace them after almost 6 years of use.
They are leaking pretty bad too. I am worried that all the water is going to leak out of the skimmer before I can replace them...

If they are leaking, replace them before they burst. I like the black ones with cuffs. The seem to last longer and they are easier to work with.
