Please see the attached schematic of my plumbing for pool and spa return. This is Pentair system with IC40 chlorinator. I operate the system on only one speed for 4-5 hours a day. This worked fine for 5 years but recently my pool guy replaced the check valve on a "Spy bypass" connection and now I either have spa jets working in a pool mode OR spa water level is dropping below jet openings after pump stops.
Please look at the schematic and tell me: 1) what position spa bypass check valve should be at: 1 or 2, and 2) maybe the reason is that automatic 3-way valve was initially positioned to let the small portion of water to go to spa in a pool mode and this position got somehow screwed or automatic valve is not working - in this case, can I operate automatic valve manually to find the right position?
