Exposed Aggregate Sealer

What type of sealer should I use for my exposed aggregate concrete around my pool. I've read on some brands of stain that it is not recommended for around pools; I wonder if this is for legal/c.y.a. reasons. Is water based or oil based sealer the way to go? Does anyone have any experience with this they would be willing to share.

Take a look at Concrete Sealer Review. I don't have aggregate concrete, but for our hand-troweled concrete shown here we seal it every year with Glaze 'N Seal Multi-Purpose Sealer and also seal the plain coping as well.

I'd imagine the pool restriction is because some sealers can make the surface slick.
