Have not had a chance to heat the pool yet , still too cold here in florida i have 2 sprinkler heads that go back and forth and lightly spray the unit. If i turn it down too much some of the grass wont get any water. Do people put covers on when not in use ?

There is a pool heat pump cover that is sold at many different places around the web that would take care of this issue for you. Just make sure it fits the dimensions of your particular heat pump.
