Hours to heat spa

There are some tables at http://www.aquapoolstore.com/heaters/po ... PIPESIZING that suggest:
- your 1" gas pipe is the correct size as long as your run is less than 100'
- a 175k BTU heater should raise a 1,000 gallon spa 30 deg (F) in 107 mins (about 0.28 deg/min)
Your results (49 deg increase in 173 mins = 0.283 deg/min) are in line with this, so things may be as they should be if your spa is around 1k gallon.

Hmmm...I am heating now. It is not windy. Temp is 43 degrees. The spa has gained 19 degrees in one hour.

I don't know how your builder OR anyone else can look you in the face and say its working as advertised. That's just stupid. Who in their right mind would ever buy something with the expectation of what you are experiencing!?!?!? NO ONE! I feel so bad for you man you're getting the run around. Don't give up man make them fix it!
