when i plugged my used pump in nothing happens, is there anything that has to be done to see if it works?? i already filled my pool and now im afraid if i have to wait on a new pump my pool water will get bad is there anything i can do for the water in the mean time?

With the pump unplugged, try turning the shaft by hand and see if it moves freely. If it doesn't, some turning by hand can often free it up and allow the pump to start.
Do you have a cover pump or sump pump you could use to get some circulation without the main pump?
