The "guys" came to open our salt water pool and now we are registering no chlorine. The cell light is blinking even though we cleaned it. Ran pump all night and no change. Water is clear. No visible signs of algae.Cell is a year old. Kids aren't happy to not be able to go into pool. Help!

Welcome to TFP!

Could you post a complete set of water test results? There are a number of levels that if wrong could cause the lack of chlorine. Regardless, you need to manually add chlorine if the level gets too low.

What brand of SWG do you have?

It's a hayward. Haven't gotten water test yet. cell light has gone from flashing red to yellow and now check salt is red.
Just a pain because I paid the installer to open the pool and assumed THEY'D test the levels!

Opening the pool does not normally include checking/adjusting chemical levels. Checking/adjusting levels is normally part of a weekly service contract, which is almost always separate from opening.

It is common for salt to be low after a spring opening.
