My H-series millivot heater is about 8 years old and has a strange issue. When my Aqualink calls for heat the heater will not fire up sometimes so I opened the cover and found that if I pull one of the wires off the temp limit switch and put it back on it fires right up. I thought that maybe there was a issue with the connectors so I soldered the wires to the switch yesterday and it did the same thing this morning. Now I pull one of the wires off another safety switch and back on and it fires right up. I already replaced the thermo-couple and valve with no change. It's almost like the therm-couple is generating marginal power to open the valve and disconnecting it for a second allows just a bit more power to build up to open the valve.
