Pool Rover Jr clean dead algae?

Got my ph, CYA and TA levels all where they should be and now getting ready to start the shocking process. My question is can I vacuum the algae/dirt on the bottom with my automatic pool rover jr, or do i have to hop in and use the vacuum to waste dirt devil I have?

You can try the Pool rover but you're probably going to find that the dead algae will pass through the bag. I'd vacuum with the pole vac and then clean the fiter as needed.
