I have read 100 times that I do not have to worry about CH (mine is at 100) for a vinyl liner pool. BUT have recently heard (yes from the pool store) that the low level will cause additional buildup and harm to the salt cells. I am a new pool owner and I just cant figure this one. I would figure if anything that a high CH would be harmful?? Can someone explain?

No, low CH is not harmful in any way to a vinyl pool or salt sell. They are either ignorant or deliberately lying to you!
