pH was high, but I entered it wrong into the pool calculator. pH was 8.2, was trying to get it down to around 7.8. Ended up adding about 20oz of Borax. Should I wait to tomorrow to lower, or go ahead and add some dry acid?

most here recommend Muriatic acid. It's much cheaper and not hard to handle. In general you want to wait 30 min's between chemicals but I wouldn't wait until tomorrow if you have daylight.
