I am new to the site and the pump that was installed on my pool apparently was for above ground pools. I cant read anything on the pump any longer and need to replace it. I have a 18k fiberglass saltwater pool. Its 8' deep and has 1 1/2" pipe. I would like to set the timer to run the pump for 4hrs a night. I am not sure what HP motor i would need to make sure i get the proper circulation of water for this scenario. I am thinking 3/4HP is whats in there now and that's probably going to be sufficient but again not sure. Thanks for any help...
Also here is the pump i am looking at and one of the features that appeal to me.
Hayward ¾ HP SUPER PUMP SP2605X7
Self-priming (suction life up to 8’ above water level) although its a little over 8' from bottom of pool to my pump its only about 2' from top of water...
