You absolutely want the pump to run for a minute or two after the SWG shuts off. They say an hour because timers aren't all that accurate, can often only be set in units of an hour, and they want to make really sure the pump doesn't turn off first.
Thanks! I've been running the pump for about 30 minutes after the SWG shuts off. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to cause any damage to anything.
