Location of Return Hose

location of return hose in relation of the skimmer.
any thoughts from anyone as to have the return hose positioned say 12" from the bottom?

I'm having a 18'X34'X52" oval above ground pool installed and thought by having it at this location it would improve the circulation.

I'm pretty sure the return opening hole is pre-drilled on the pool wall, but perhaps as a 2nd return?

Moving the return lower than normal can improve things, but only just a tiny bit. It is more important to get a return fitting that can be aimed, which gives you much more flexibility and makes the depth irrelevant.
