I want to use the calculator to tell me how much shock to add to my pool. I inserted all of the data parameters, and it reads "17." I believe that is the ppm of FC it wants me to raise the level to. Correct? But, I do not see how many pounds of shock I should add to achieve this level.

If you put the shock level in the Target Column and your current level in the Now Column at the very to where it says FC you can read to the right the amount you need to add to bring your FC to the target level. You need to have the correct size pool filled in at the top and you need the correct amount of CYA in the Now Column where it says CYA in order to get a correct calculation. Hope this helps.
