Leak in Pentair FNS Plus DE filter. Any advice?

Hi All,
My 5 year old Pentair filter has started to leak between the top lid and bottom base. I tried tightening the clamp but no luck. Any ideas on a fix or do I just need to replace the gigantic O-ring?

I guess the big question is: has anyone disturbed the giant O-ring lately?

If not, I personally would worry. Could be high, high pressure or even a crack. In my experience as a mechanic, I've found O-rings don't leak unless they've been taken apart and reused.

But no matter what, you're gonna have to pull it apart to see, so I'd get a new O-ring standing by and some silicon lube for it, both available at the dreaded Pol Store. Long as it's apart, scrub the screens.

I took it apart earlier in the season to clean the grids. Pressure is normal (<15psi). It was sealing tight for a few months but just started leaking.
