Posted in the newbie forum and was asked to post progress photos here. My family and I decided that since we live in FL we needed a pool. Links to everything we are installing is in my signature. We decided to go with Doughboy after reading all of our options from local pool stores. I’m an electrical contractor so the electrical had to be done first lol. The slab is 3x3 fiberglass and 3” tall. Here is the progress so far. The orange flags are where the pool will sit. I already have all of the permits and the pool and all equipment will be delivered to our home next week. I'll update as we go. Have a great weekend TFP!

Well hole was dug yesterday, pool went in today, should be full tomorrow! Going to let it sit for a month then build a deck around half of it. Bonding is done and in photos below. Also installed a skimmer bonding plate from Burndy and attached to a ground ring, the motor and a ground rod. I’ll post more after the backfilling and leveling is complete.

Would you mind listing the steps you took to complete the bonding. Our 18' Round Doughboy Saratoga is going to be delivered on Saturday and our plan is very similar-we want to bury it about 2' . Husband is a plumbing contractor, so no problem with the hard piping, but not so sure about the electrical side. Thanks for posting your pics-looking forward to seeing your progress!

Sure I’m a licensed Electrical Contractor and did some research on above ground pools. If your uprights are metal you need to attach a copper chair lug type DB at 4 locations if they’re resin this step isn’t needed. I drove a 5/8 by 10 foot copper ground rod next to my equipment pad, ran a number 8 solid bare wire from the ground rod to the motor frame, from the motor frame to the Burndy plate you see attached to my skimmer. I had to drill a 3/16 hole in the bottom of my skimmer to attach the plate. From the plate is a lug to which I attached the bare number 8 from the motor . I then ran a 8 solid bare around the perimeter of the pool and attached to the 4 lugs.
