Hi,
Thanks for all the wonderful post here. I recently purchased the TF100 test kit and am having some trouble with the calcium test.
I initially tested at 170. Went to buy supplemental calcium at the pool store -- guy gave me a funny look. I guess the water here in the desert is typically high in calcium; asked if I have a water softener (I don't). Apparently most people have excessive calcium, not too little.
So I added 4 pounds of calcium granules, and expected the calcium to go up to ~200. However, 3 days later there has been no change in the calcium test results, still 170.
What can confound the test results? Has anybody had unusual test results like this?
