Hi, I'm located in Southwestern Ontario.
When we closed our pool for the first time last year I took the water down about 6 inches below the skimmer.
When we took the cover off yesterday, the water was down another good foot. Is this normal? I can't see any obvious leaks right now.
One of our friends who's had a pool for over a decade, told me his pool was really low this year and he can't find any leaks either. He said this has never happened to him.
His theory is that because we've had such a warm winter/spring that more pool water evaporated.
I also wonder if the weight of my snow, on top of my cover, pushed down on my water, making some of it spill over the sides/or through the holes of the skimmer and return jet, as it melted?
