2 speed pump question

Is it ok to switch between high to low, or low to high without turning the pump off first? My last pump had a rocker switch with low/off/high position. The new pump came without a switch so I had to order one for this specific pump. It is a toggle switch with just low/high position. Do I need to turn it off with the power switch located on my pad before switching speeds? Thanks!!

I hope so, because that's how I've been doing it on my 2-speed toggle. My factory has a center stop position, but when switching from high-low or low-high, I just fly right on past that stop position.

Good to know, Pat! I always stopped on the off position on my rocker switch before going from one to the other. The toggle doesn't give me that option.
