My water has been cloudy since opening 2 weeks ago. I found this site Monday, thankfully! My husband cleaned the sand filter that day, per the video instructions on here; it was full of junk! On Monday & Tuesday I worked to get pH, TA, and CYA at target levels before beginning SLAM. Wednesday and Thursday I tested FC and CC every 2-3 hours, almost always needing to add a few gallons LC. Vacuumed Wednesday and brushed both floor and walls several times both days. The CC dropped to 0.5 yesterday morning and has stayed there. FC held steady overnight at 16. I could see the whole bottom this morning!! I'll continue SLAM because water is not clear yet, but I am beyond happy with this progress! If anyone thinks of something I'm not doing or notices something I should change, let me know. Thanks!
