1st design meeting tomorrow

Husband & I are building a home, built in pool must go in first due to neighbors on both sides & canal in back of home. A little nervous about this being rainy season in SW FL, any info to calm my nerves? Pool should start in mid July. Our first meeting with pool company to work on the design is tomorrow, learning lots from tfp. Any info will be appreciated.

Integrate the backyard design into the pool design. Meaning... pay attention to where the barbeque goes and where the tables will go and so on. Then when they're running all the utilities, you can have them run water to a convenient spot, and electrical. Lots of electrical. Adding another circuit and some plugs is real easy when the ground is all dug up and the electrical panel is exposed. After everything is buttoned up and under concrete it's a lot harder. Pay attention to prevailing winds and put the skimmer downwind. You'll want the equipment pad out of the way if possible, too. You don't want to hear it chugging away three feet away from you while you're trying to have a conversation.

This pic is what I was thinking, the far end with the spa & the shelf underneath. No waterfalls on back wall. Thinking about waterfall on opposite end of spa.
