Local Pool Co. on CYA

Some accuracy in that article and some glaring issues, too. Please put your city and State in your profile. My bet is you are not from the Southwest.......where Cal Hypo tablets are not a good idea because of the resultant high CH. Also, I know of no acceptable way to dispense cal hypo tablets in your pool. They typically erode wa-a-ay too fast and can create a gooey mess. I think there is one special erosion feeder for Cal Hypo tabs but it is quite expensive and you have to use their proprietary tablets.

The staining and equipment damage on CYA over 200 has NEVER been reported her on TFP in the 12-14 years we have been discussing CYA. That statement has no basis in fact.

Lot's of other discrepancies and, overall, is not a good resource to learn about CYA.
