Why would my chlorine be going up with my SWG turned way down? I'm leaving for 4 days and I was trying to test pH but I can't because my chlorine is at 12. I have no idea why, it was at 10 the other day so I turned down my SWG to 20%, it's been hot and sunny so my FC should be going down....

CYA is 60-80 but I haven't checked in a while, is IC my SWG size? 40,000. my pump runs 12 hours. this just started happening. I test regularly.

Lower the % setting on your SWCG or reduce your pump run time or both to reduce your chlorine production.

As long as your FC is near 10, if you look at the pH test very quickly after adding the reagent, it will be correct.
