Patched and rinkled liner with robot

Hi guys , im in the market for a active 10 or 20 and im wondering if i might have a problem with my liner.

The previous owner had a chlorine puck fall out of the skimmer basket it looks like.... anyway under the skimmer basket on the pool floor in my AG 15x30 oval pool the liner is really wrinkled. The area is under a foot round on the pool floor. There is also a 5x8 patch in between pool floor and wall.

Is it safe to use a robot with the wrinkled floor and patched pool?

I would worry that a robot's brush would brush the wrinkled portion larger? The brush on my discovery is very soft but enough might 'work at" at patch??

Now keep in mind I have no experience with vinyl liners personally. Just my hunch.

More wrinkle detail.... The wrinkle is hardened. It was due to a chemical reaction with the liner and looks like it melted and then hardened in a spiderweb pattern. (Im just guessing)

But yes im worried is why im asking before i ruin my pool with a robot

If I were in that situation I would not take a chance the brush might blow out the weakened section.

If the area is brittle as you say, it's probably a dangerous thing having it that way right now.

Probably best to replace the liner asap, so nobody gets injured if it fails and all the water comes rushing out.
