Stand Alone Fountain

Is there a "Trouble Free" doctrine for stand alone fountain water maintenance (not connected to swimming pool)? My two concerns are algae and mosquito suppression. Currently I am shocking it with solid shock powder about once every two weeks when it starts looking organic. My Cyanuric Acid must be off the charts as the water volume is low. Thinking about trying a pint a bleach and some algaecide weekly. Thoughts?

Pretty tough to maintain that with the evaporation you get.

The algaecide might be a good choice. But you need chlorine too for the mosquito's.

I assume you have used a bit of dichlor each day and then just over flow it to swap water about once a week? That might be the easiest/cheapest route.
