thinking of closing pool already cold all the time

is it too early to drain pool down and put winter cover on? its cool here all the time and the tree by pool is losing its leaves in it too im tired of not using it and running pump. now i have to fish leaves out what kind of winterizer do i need to get for it?

It is best not to close your pool until the water temperature gets down below 60 degrees. If you close to early in the season, when the water is still warm, you will be extremely likely to open to a green swamp.
