calcium chloride?

I'm new to this forum thing, but I've had this pool for 16 years and must have paid the pool store thousands over the years....except this year since I found "yinz" guys.

I have a new vinyl liner and my CH is 170. If I understand the instructions on the test kit, this test isn't really important for a vinyl pool? I did the pool calculator and it said to add 11# of calcium chloride, should I?

Low CH is not a problem for a vinyl pool.

Your CH level is fine.

Pool School shows Recommended CH Levels of 50 to 300 for vinyl. pool-school/recommended_levels
