Building in June : Brownsburg IN

That size SWG will be fine for IN. Sounds good. [emoji108]

Pool dig was scheduled for tomorrow, but just got bumped till Friday. Rain is expected this week, crossing my fingers for no delays. Pool equipment and pool kit walls are all here. Waiting is so hard!

Make sure to go through the shipping bill and make sure everything is there. We have seen some where something was missing so they were out of luck when they went looking for it and it was not there :(

Gurrrrr on pushing the date back

So the PB was just here and told me they were putting an equalizer fitting in the wall because I did not want main drains. Can someone educate me more on this? It’s freaking me out because it is a suction line on the wall. Won’t that be dangerous? Hair- swim suits, etc.

Don’t stress. It’s likely a hydrostatic valve. We have one too. It’s to make sure that your pool doesn’t pop out of the ground. It not a suction thing or anything just equalises the water pressure between inside and outside of the pool. That’s my understanding anyway.

Possibly freeze/thaw. I think they’re fairly standard as there needs to be a way to relieve pressure if it’s not equal between the inside and outside of the pool.

Doing some research and it seems that a hydrostatic valve is more commonly for a concrete and fiberglass pools. The valve is part of the main drain and pops up to let ground water into the pool if water goes under the pool.
We are installing a liner pool without a main drain. It will have a sump pit and pump in case of underground water. It will help with avoiding liner float.
