I currently have a Rheem natural gas heater which is about 6 years old. Had quite a few problems last year and it looks like they’re continuing, so I’ve decided to bite the bullet and replace it. I’m going back with natural gas, but would love any suggestions on brand.

Raypak seems to be popular here. It's also what my pool guy recommends as well as what the guy who installed my new Raypak last summer recommends (replacing a decades-old Laars).
It’s been several things. Not igniting. Not staying lit until desired temperature is reached. Currently it’s both of those things ... hit or miss. I may try replacing the gas valve, which was sticking last summer.
