1200 - FC was 4 ppm for a loss of 11 ppm. Added 1.8 to get the FC up to 15ppm
1300 - FC was 4.5 ppm for a loss of 10 ppm. Added 1.7 to get the FC up to 15ppm
1400 - FC was 4.5 ppm for a loss of 10 ppm. Added 1.7 to get the FC up to 15ppm
1500 - FC was 5 ppm for a loss of 10 ppm. Added 1.6 to get the FC up to 15ppm

man I hope so, seems that I am dumping more bleach in this pool than there is water, already gone through about 30 bottles I think if I'm doing this right the pool is starting to hold on to more of the chlorine, can't wait. I got a little over 20 bottles left, I suspect I will need more unless something really good happens and it starts holding the bleach better and I start only having to add 1 bottle every hour instead of 2.

1600 - FC was 6 ppm for a loss of 9 ppm. Added 1.4 to get the FC up to 15ppm

Mine took about 40-45 bottles of the 174 oz Walmart bleach... You can't buy too much because after it is converted, you will eventually use it with your top-offs... Check out my pics in my sig and you can kinda compare as to where you are... I can tell you, when it is all done, and you finally get to swim, get you some goggles and go under water and look how clear... I have just bought a disposable water-proof camera and am going to take some underwater pics and post them to show just how clear the water is... Could not beloeve my own eyes!!

Yeah I kept up with your pictures and thread as you were doing it. Just keep going at it. You know really you never know if you even get it up to 15ppm, at first I bet the chlorine was eaten away just after poring it in. As long as I can get there, thats all that matters, woohoo.

1900 - FC was 7.5 ppm for a loss of 7.5 ppm. Added 1.2 to get the FC up to 15ppm

Had good pressure on the pump but decided to backwash a little anyway just in case to get some goo out if needed, this will be the second 30 second to 1 minute backwash since I started. brushed down the sides also just to help get any resedue off the walls.

Hey, Fortuneteller,

Very nice work. Just because no one is posting, I didn't want you to think there's no one watching your posts. I am surprised that your chlorine consumption hasn't diminished a little bit more but you are doing everything as well as it can be done.

Since there's no CYA in your pool, I would consider reducing the daytime additions somewhat to keep the sun from consuming so much. I would suggest an early AM dosage, perhaps a midday dosage and then start more frequently around 7:00pm after the Sun is off the pool dosing into the evening.

Regardless, you are attacking the baqua-goo very well and are about to see some pretty nice improvements. We'll be watching!!

Thank you sir. Will see if I can do that.

0800 - FC was 12 ppm. Added 116 oz to get the FC up to 15ppm

1030 - FC was 9 ppm. Added 174 oz to get the FC up to 15ppm
1130 - FC was 11.5 ppm. Added 102 oz to get the FC up to 15ppm
1230 - FC was 11.5 ppm. Added 102 oz to get the FC up to 15ppm

1430 - FC was 6 ppm. Added 102 oz to get the FC up to 15ppm
1530 - FC was 6 ppm. Added 261 oz to get the FC up to 15ppm
1630 - FC was 11 ppm. Added 116 oz to get the FC up to 15ppm

I may be off, forgot to post one hour but the water is starting to clear, a very light shade of green/yellow tint. keep throwing it in. Day has been overcast so that is better. I will post 3 more pictues later today.

1730 - FC was 10.5 ppm. Added 131 oz to get the FC up to 15ppm

Got some stuff on the bottom of the pool should I be brushing the pool sides and bottom? If I do vaccum should I vaccum to waste and fill with water as I'm doing that? Or should I just wait till its all done and I am changing out the sand? Water is clearing up pretty good, only got about 3 bottles left so I think I am going to buy another 10 bottles just to be safe. I want to continue on the 1 hour schedule, seems to be working out good.

You should vacuum up whatever you can, either to waste or regularly. That will speed up your conversion. Vacuuming to waste is better, but if it is too much trouble then just vacuum normally and then backwash/clean the filter.

1930 - FC was 15 ppm. 0 loss of anything. Added 0 oz to get the FC up to 15ppm. Cleaned the bottom of the pool to waste to get some of the whatever out of the pool, added some water to top it off, will keep it going.

2030 - FC was 12.5 ppm. for a loss of 2.5. Added 73 oz to get the FC up to 15ppm.
