Back up valve on Polaris

I've always thought the back up valve kicked on too much. Sitting out here drinking coffee and I decided to time it. It goes off every two to three minutes.

That can't be normal? Is there a way to change the setting or recalibrate?

I have never actually timed mine but that sounds like about what mine does. To my knowledge there is no way to adjust it, never considered trying though. I run mine 4 times a week 15 min each cycle and the pool stays bug and leafless so what ever they have it set at works for me.

It's pressure driven. If your booster is delivering too much pressure, it will cycle more often. Have you checked your wheel rotation speed (see instructions for setting watter flow/pressure)?
