Milky, cloudy after Slamming

After shocking a green pool, it is always cloudy........what is the quickest way to get the clear water back? To date, I've just kept the filtration going 24/7 until it clears........

We do not recommend 'shocking' a pool, we recommend you SLAM Process the pool until:
1) You pass an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test
2) CC is 0.5pm or less
3) The water is clear, and free of any algae, dead or alive.

Can your pool meet #1 & 2?

I advise you follow the SLAM procedure.

The test strips.....Free chlorine, Total chlorine, Alkalinity, PH, Calcium hardness and Cya.

However, the two pools that are still cloudy are the following........Sand filter with filtration problem, very low pressure. And a DE filter with no DE in it! Maybe thats the problem.....??!!

Number 2 is around 1ppm.....
