New Intex SWG not working

I have just replaced my old SWG due to low salt readings and not generating chlorine. I checked the salt levels which were at 3000 and my cya was 70. Due to rain and debris, I added a bag of salt to bring my number back up to 3000. My cya is still at 70 but the new generator is saying the salt levels are high and making the SWG shut off. My salt strips are new so I feel they are accurate. The water today is clear but getting a tad cloudy. I added a capful of clarity to see if that helps. There has been a lot of debris due to storms and a vacation in the past week but just can't seem to get this pool straight. My ph is ar 7.2.

Welcome to the forum!

Use bleach to keep your FC up based on your CYA level while you troubleshoot the SWCG issue. Pool School - Chlorine / CYA Chart

If you only have strips for the salt I would suggest taking a sample to a pool store for them to test. Just ignore everything they say about your water.

Take care.
