Also do an OCLT tonight. Get your FC to 15 and follow the process. See Pool School.

Round your CYA number to 80. As long as you do not have algae and pass the OCLT it can stay there as you have a SWCG.

Multiply your CYA number by .8 and you need 6.4 (remember, round up on CYA). Shoot for 8 just to be safe.

Thanks! Just ran the tests and it's 7.4 FC, and .4 CC. I'll test before sun up in the morning and see

1.6 FC and 0.6 CC... which kind of confuses me. Doesn't the FC convert to CC when it's used? Or the two aren't correlated? That is, as FC drops the CC goes up

No. The CC is the result of organiics being consumed. They are burned off by UV (sunshine) on the pool. So there is no way to directly correlate them at any one time.

If that was your FC drop overnight, you need to SLAM.

You might want to switch over to the 10ml water sample size so that each drop counts as .5ppm instead of the 25ml sample size's .2ppm. It will save you some reagents.
