    question about CYA

If I have what I think is alot of direct sunlight...from 12 to 8pm (canadian climate though)...what should my CYA target be....

As of now I have been putting 30 as my goal...and have added 1Kg of stabilizer to the pool.

    Re: question about CYA

30-50 is the recommendation. keep going until you find what works for you. I doubt you'll want more than 50.

    Re: question about CYA

Usually we recommend 50 at the start of a season for a sand filter, as backwashing will slowly drop your level. Not sure how much longer you have in the summer, but 40-50 will be fine.

    30 is the minimum level.
Whenever there is a range like 30-50 shoot for the middle as a rule of thumb.

Thankyou for all your help. I would be lost right now without this forum.
