Thanks to this forum my Aquapure 1400 is fixed. I had a 170 error, which says a there is a low voltage in the manual. But, it turns out many experienced folks on this forum have noted that 99 times out of 100 it is the sensor rather than a problem with the board. Jandy now has a 2 pole sensor that replaces the 3 pole sensor, and it is apparently much better. I ordered it on amazon for $170, it came in 2 days, and had great instructions for installation. I am up and running again in no time. It was the sensor despite what the manual says.
So, once again TFP comes through!
