Hello all. I have had decent numbers for awhile the. Today I got these. We swam and I noticed a scale almost sandpaper feel to the vinyl sides and skimmer flap and ladder. Is this calcium or some other minerals? I have very hard water but don't know if it is the cause. I use bleach and don't know if I should
add anything else. Thanks.

Yes, it is very likely calcium scale. The high TA will continuously push pH up and high pH will develop calcium scale. More here, Pool School - Calcium Scaling. What is your CH level?

Sorry. Forgot to put it in but ch is 250. What would you recommend adding to lower ta? Muriatic acid maybe?
